What an amazing Project!!
It has been sometime since running into something that stunning!!..Of course lets start from the staircase in the brasserie of this Strasbourg hotel, designed inside a former neighteenth-century equestria academy by studio Jouin Manku.
A futuristic spiral links the two floors of the brasserie. Oak wood, metal and glass compose this fine structure which almost provokes you to climb it. The wood comes in accordance with the original structure of the building implying its authenticity. The metal supports the wooden entropic sculpture offering stability and modernity.
After guests get themselves out of this wooden cyclone, they can reach the upper floor of the brasserie, where lots of importance is paid to detail. Wood -with its tints and shades- is for once more the domaining material. Some large curved seats covered in saddle leather, and a golden, discreet touch in some suspended lamps complete the idea of luxury and comfort.
And since this is a hotel afterall, we should write something about the rooms too! The wood structure is also highlighted in the “simple” bedrooms, which are painted white and decorated with leather details. Watch how the door handles match the headboards ,the furniture and even the window shutters!
Simplicity, harmony, luxury, creativity, cohesion.
